Strohmuseum im Park

Freshly plaited

In the special exhibition named «Freshly plaited. Inspiration straw – then and today» the Strohmuseum im Park (Museum of Straw) in Wohlen, Switzerland shows how straw as a raw material, together with the Swiss straw industry, has influenced the fashion world in the past. The exhibition is accompanied by the design competition «Prix Paille», which shows designs and prototypes by contemporary designers.

In the interior of the exhibition, monochrome images and captions have been printed in a direct print process onto wooden panels. As a result, all graphic elements become integrated into the exhibition design. In the exterior section, the designers’ names have been sprayed directly onto the boxes using a stencil.
